Democrats’ victory in both chambers of Congress gives them greater leverage over the legislative agenda and the oversight of Donald Trump’s administration. They could block much of the president’s proposed legislation and open new investigations, according to Bloomberg.
That control does not mean Democrats will be able to advance every priority. They will face important limits on what they can accomplish, even as their position in Congress allows them to challenge Trump’s agenda more directly.
