US stock futures rebounded after an initial decline as markets reacted to Democrats’ sweep of Congress. Futures for the S&P 500 rose 0.2%, while Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.3%, with buyers stepping in after both indexes fell earlier.

The dollar weakened against major peers, and the yield on 10-year US Treasuries dropped three basis points to 4.93%. Investors were betting that the result could constrain President Donald Trump’s agenda.

European shares advanced, with the Stoxx 600 up 0.6%. A gauge of Asian equities was little changed.
