Vijaya Diagnostic Centre reported revenue from operations of INR 2,554 million for the second quarter of FY27, up 26.7% year over year. EBITDA rose 37.8% to INR 1,128 million, while profit after tax increased 37.4% to INR 595 million.

The EBITDA margin expanded by 355 basis points to 44.1%, and the profit-after-tax margin rose by 181 basis points to 23.3%. The company said operating leverage from its largely fixed-cost base supported the improvement. Existing centers grew by about 20%, with Pune recording continued double-digit growth.

During the quarter, Vijaya served 1.37 million patients, a 14.5% annual increase, and conducted 4.98 million tests, up 16.5%. Tests per patient visit rose to 3.64 from 3.57 a year earlier. Revenue per test was INR 503, while revenue per footfall reached INR 1,865.

For the first half of FY27, revenue grew 24.8% to INR 4,864 million. EBITDA increased 36% to INR 2,113 million, and profit after tax rose 37.5% to INR 1,126 million. Business-to-consumer services accounted for 92% of revenue.

Wellness testing was another growth contributor, increasing 27.1% in Q2 and 27.4% in the first half. It represented 14.5% of quarterly revenue, compared with 14.4% a year earlier. The company cited expansion into smaller cities, digital promotions, platform partnerships, faster turnaround times and home testing among the factors supporting demand.

Vijaya commissioned two hubs and seven spokes in the first half. It also opened a flagship hub in Bengaluru’s JP Nagar, covering more than 10,000 square feet and equipped with advanced imaging technology. In Hyderabad, it added spokes in Kothapet and Moghalpura.

The company’s expansion into Northeast India comes through its INR 46.2 crore acquisition of Arya Wellness Centre in Guwahati. The center provides imaging, pathology, cardiology, endoscopy and preventive health services. Vijaya expects to begin operating it under its brand from January 1, 2027, subject to completion of required conditions. The acquisition marks its entry into a seventh state.

For the second half of FY27, Vijaya plans to commission three hubs and seven spokes, followed by three more hubs in the first quarter of FY28. It expects FY27 capital expenditure to exceed INR 220 crore. The company reaffirmed its guidance for at least 20% revenue growth and EBITDA margins of 42% or higher for the year.

Hyderabad remains the company’s largest market, contributing 67% of revenue. West Bengal’s share rose from 4% in FY25 to 5% in Q2 FY27, while Pune accounted for around 5% to 6%. Vijaya also said it had introduced AI tools for CT KUB and dental diagnostics.
