US Treasuries fell after a measure of job openings exceeded economists’ estimates, pointing to a resilient labor market and potentially giving the Federal Reserve more room to raise rates to curb inflation.

The selloff lifted yields by three to five basis points across maturities. Traders also priced in somewhat greater odds of at least two Fed rate increases over the coming months.

Earlier Tuesday, volatility in Oil prices following headlines about the war in the Middle East briefly sent yields lower.
