The Children’s Place has announced a series of leadership changes in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The departures include its president and interim chief executive officer, chief strategy officer and executive chairman, while the company’s chief financial officer has assumed the role of acting president and principal executive officer.
Muhammad Asif Seemab resigned as president and interim CEO, and Muhammad Umair stepped down as chief strategy officer. Both resignations took effect immediately. The company said neither departure resulted from a disagreement over its operations, policies or practices. Seemab and Umair will remain on the board of directors.
CFO John Szczepanski has taken on the acting president and principal executive officer roles under the company’s bylaws. The filing said no arrangement with another person led to his appointment and no new or modified compensation arrangements were made in connection with his additional responsibilities.
Turki Saleh A. AlRajhi also resigned as executive chairman, effective immediately, but will remain chairman of the board. He will continue to chair the Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability & Governance Committee and the Human Capital & Compensation Committee. The company said his resignation was not related to a disagreement over its operations, policies or practices.
Separately, Kim Roy resigned from the board on October 30. The company also said Roy’s departure was not the result of a disagreement with the company.
