Orsted has completed Revolution Wind, an offshore wind farm off the northeastern coast of the United States. The project is now fully operational and capable of supplying electricity to 350,000 homes in Rhode Island and Connecticut, the Danish developer said Thursday.
Completion marks a win for Orsted after the Trump administration temporarily halted construction last year. The project had become a focal point of the administration’s efforts to curb the emerging US offshore wind industry.
