NextEra Energy has offered Virginia additional protections for utility customers and the financial stability of Dominion Energy as it seeks state approval for its $67 billion acquisition of the company.

In a statement Tuesday, the companies said they agreed to 101 of 117 conditions proposed by staff of the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the state attorney general’s consumer counsel. They accepted another 13 conditions with modifications.
