The Indonesian government began a multi-part dollar bond sale on Thursday, marking its first publicly announced sovereign offering in US currency since MSCI Inc. issued a warning last month about Indonesian equities.

MSCI said it may remove local shares from its global indexes. The bond offering is the first publicly announced dollar-denominated deal by the Indonesian sovereign since that warning.
