Greek stocks are expected to face net outflows when MSCI Inc.’s reclassification of Greece as a developed market takes effect in May, according to strategists at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
The change could prompt funds tracking emerging-market indexes to sell about $5.1 billion of Greek equities, a team led by Pankaj Gupta said in a note.
Developed-market funds are expected to buy approximately $4.8 billion, leaving an estimated net outflow of around $275 million.
