Citizens has reiterated its Market Outperform rating on Park Electrochemical shares and maintained a $42 price target. Based on the reported current price of $25.76, the target implies potential upside of approximately 65%.
The firm highlighted comments from a senior executive at a privately held defense technology company during the Association of the United States Army conference. According to the executive, demand for munitions is urgent, with military leaders visiting facilities and contracts being completed within two weeks.
Citizens said this environment could benefit Park Electrochemical. During its second-quarter fiscal 2027 call, management indicated that the company’s Newton, Kansas, facility should be capable of meeting the PAC-3 program’s target of 2,000 interceptors annually with increased staffing on its production lines.
Newton will also produce other critical munitions components. The additional capacity complements Park’s new Tulsa facility, which is expected to begin production and shipments in fiscal 2029, corresponding to calendar 2028.
Park has reported revenue growth of 27.7% over the past 12 months while remaining profitable. In its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results, the company posted sales of $20.791 million, above the $19.17 million forecast, along with adjusted EBITDA of $5.285 million and a gross margin of 34.3%.
Earnings per share were $0.21, exceeding the projected $0.1381. Management said EPS would have been approximately $0.19 without a tax benefit related to stock-option exercises. The results were attributed to record production and stronger demand from aerospace and missile programs.
Analyst Trevor Walsh maintained Citizens’ rating after attending the AUSA conference. The report also noted that InvestingPro’s analysis considers the stock overvalued at current levels, although the company retains a “GOOD” financial health score.
