China is weighing a sale of sovereign bonds denominated in US dollars and offshore yuan as early as this month, according to people familiar with the matter. The potential offering would support Beijing’s efforts to deepen its role in international debt markets.
Officials at the Ministry of Finance have been working with investment banks on the possible sales, the people said. Discussions are still underway, and the details could change.
