Aptus Value housing Finance India reported 20% year-over-year growth in consolidated assets under management (AUM) to ₹14,177 crore in Q2 FY27. Profit after tax rose 18% to ₹267 crore for the quarter. The company presented its results on November 4, 2026, and said it had increased its full-year credit cost guidance because of asset quality pressures at its NBFC subsidiary.

For the first half of FY27, consolidated profit after tax increased 19% to ₹528 crore. Quarterly disbursements were ₹1,153 crore, up 20% year over year. Return on equity was 20.1%, while return on assets stood at 7.7%.

Performance differed between the group’s housing finance company (HFC) and NBFC businesses. The HFC recorded AUM of ₹10,086 crore, up 20%, and H1 disbursements grew 35% to ₹1,526 crore. Its gross non-performing asset (NPA) ratio improved by five basis points to 1.48%, while credit costs fell by eight basis points to 25 basis points.

The NBFC subsidiary’s AUM increased 22% to ₹4,091 crore and disbursements rose 12% to ₹680 crore. However, its gross NPA ratio climbed 58 basis points to 2.17%, and credit costs rose 74 basis points to 169 basis points. Management linked the pressure to specific areas in Karnataka and lower-ticket loans, and said it was tightening underwriting standards.

At the consolidated level, gross NPA increased 13 basis points year over year to 1.68%, while net NPA rose 10 basis points to 1.27%. Collection efficiency declined to 98.35% from 99.36% a year earlier, and loans overdue by more than 30 days increased to 7.08% from 6.34%. Management raised full-year credit cost guidance by 5 to 10 basis points, citing the NBFC business. Operating expense guidance remained at 2.6% to 2.8% of AUM.

Aptus said it expects full-year AUM growth of about 22%. It anticipates Q3 disbursements will moderate because of weather-related interruptions and tighter NBFC underwriting, with momentum expected to recover in Q4. The company plans to add around 70 branches over the full year and expand in Maharashtra and Odisha while deepening its presence in existing markets.

The branch network reached 397 locations, with 58 branches added in H1 FY27. Aptus reported 4,220 employees and a customer base of 1.99 lakh. Its HFC portfolio is concentrated in traditional home loans, which account for 67%, and quasi home loans, at 26%.

Net interest margin was 13.2% for H1 FY27, supported by a 17.0% yield and an 8.1% cost of borrowing. The company reported a standalone HFC capital adequacy ratio of 69.2% as of September 30, 2026, and consolidated net worth of ₹5,467 crore, up 17% year over year. Its cash and cash equivalents, together with unavailed bank sanctions, totalled ₹1,759 crore at that date.
